Coronavirus Updates: 6,561 COVID-19 infections, 142 deaths in a day

Corona latest updates: After 6,561 new cases of covid-19 were reported in India in a day, the total number of people infected with Coronavirus in the country has increased to 4,29,45,160. At the same time, the number of active cases in India has come down to 77,152. The number of daily cases of infection in the country has remained less than one lakh for 25 consecutive days. According to the new data released by the Union Health Ministry at 8 am on Thursday, the death toll in the country increased to 5,14,388 after 142 more people died of infection.

At present, 77,152 people are undergoing treatment for corona virus infection in the country. A decrease of 8528 has been registered in the number of patients undergoing treatment in the last 24 hours. According to the new data, the daily rate of infection was recorded at 0.74 percent and the weekly rate was 0.99 percent. Talking about recovery, 14,947 people have been cured of covid in the last one day. So far, a total of 4,23,38,673 people have recovered in the country. So far, more than 177.79 crore doses of anti-Covid-19 vaccines have been given under the nationwide vaccination campaign.

Corona Cases in India:

It is noteworthy that on 7 August 2020, the number of infected in the country had exceeded 20 lakh, on 23 August 2020, 30 lakh and on 5 September 2020, more than 40 lakh. The total cases of infection crossed 50 lakh on 16 September 2020, 60 lakh on 28 September 2020, 70 lakh on 11 October 2020, 80 lakh on 29 October 2020 and 90 lakh on 20 November.

In the last 24 hours till 8 am on Thursday, 6561 new infected have been found. The total number of infected has come down to 77,152. In this way the active cases have remained 0.20 percent.
