Coronavirus: India reports 2,38,018 COVID-19 cases, 310 deaths

The Union Health Ministry said that 310 people infected with coronavirus died during the last 24 hours.

New Delhi: There has been a decline in the cases of Coronavirus in India for the last two days. In the last 24 hours, 2.38 new cases of covid-19 were registered from across the country, which is 20,071 less (7 percent less) than the number of cases reported on Monday.

Corona latest update:

On Monday, 2.58 lakh new cases of infection were registered. Whereas on Sunday this figure was 2.71 lakh. The Union Health Ministry said that 310 people infected with coronavirus died during the last 24 hours. At the same time, 1.57 lakh patients were also cured during this period.


According to the ministry, after the death of 310 patients, the number of people who died of infection in the country has now increased to 4,86,761. According to government data, on Monday, 1,57,421 patients were discharged after recovery. After which the number of people who have recovered from Corona so far has increased to 3,53,94,882 in India. Active cases in India have increased to 17,36,628, which is 4.62 percent of the total cases. The Daily Positivity Rate is 14.43 percent. While the Weekly Positivity Rate is 14.92 percent.

Corona vaccination in India:

The recovery rate in the country has now gone up to 94.09 percent. The Ministry has informed that more than 158.04 crore doses of Corona Vaccine have been given in India so far. On Monday, more than 79,91,230 lakh people were given vaccine doses in the country.


According to the data, the total vaccination figure in India has now gone up to 1,58,04,41,770. At the same time, the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) said that 16,49,143 sample tests were done for corona virus in India on Monday, after which the sample testing figure in the country has now gone up to 70,54,11,425.

Meanwhile, Omicron's cases are also seeing steady growth. The number of patients infected with Omicron variant in the country has crossed 8000.
