New Delhi: The lockdown imposed for the purpose of preventing the corona pandemic in Bihar has been lifted. The decision of this was taken on Tuesday in the meeting of the Crisis Management Group of the Government of Bihar.

In fact, there were already speculations that the Bihar government can give relief to the people from the lockdown due to less cases of covid-19 (Bihar Corona Cases). In the important meeting of the Bihar government on Tuesday, the decision to remove the lockdown was approved.

However, the Bihar government has implemented many restrictions during this period, including night curfew. Instructions regarding the new rules will be issued soon. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar tweeted and wrote that the corona infection has decreased due to the lockdown. Therefore, ending the lockdown, it has been decided to continue the night curfew from 7 pm to 5 am.

Guidelines issued by Nitish Govt:

Government and private offices will be able to open till 4 pm with 50 percent attendance. The shop opening period will be till 5 pm. Online learning work can be done. Also, plying of private vehicles will be allowed. This arrangement will be in place for the next one week. CM Nitish also cautioned that there is still a need to avoid overcrowding.

Bihar remained in lockdown for 35 days and the lockdown was extended four times. To break the chain of corona infection, the state government imposed a lockdown in Bihar from May 5, which was for the first time till May 15. Later it was extended till 25th. After this, the Nitish government decided to extend it for a week and at present the period of Lockdown 4 continues till June 2-8.

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar takes a decision regarding the lockdown after consulting the ministers and officials. After this the Home Department will issue the relevant order.
