New Delhi: In the last 24 hours, 62,077 patients infected with the corona virus have been cured in India. After this, the rate of recovery of patients in the country has reached 90 percent. This information was given by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Sunday. The ministry said that 70,78,123 patients have been cured so far.

The ministry wrote on Twitter, India has named a new mile, our recovery rate has reached 90 percent. In the last 24 hours, 62,077 patients have recovered and have been discharged from the hospital. While the number of new cases registered is 50,129. At the same time, the number of active cases for the third consecutive day is less than three lakhs.

Take precautions in festivals:

A record number of patients have been cured on the day when Prime Minister Narendra Modi, through his Mann Ki Baat, has asked the countrymen to remain modest during the festival. Through the radio program, the Prime Minister said that the epidemic has forced us to stay indoors. The roads were very crowded at this time of the year. He asked people to take precautionary measures.

According to the government, 75 percent of the cured patients are from Maharashtra in 10 states - Maharashtra, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Delhi, Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Uttar Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. More than 10 thousand people are cured here in a day. Earlier, the Health Ministry highlighted the rapid pace of recovery rate.

According to the data of the Ministry, more than three lakh patients have been cured in three months. There are now 6,68,154 active cases which is 8.50 percent of the total positive cases in the country. 79 percent of the new cases coming up are from 10 states and union territories. More than eight thousand cases have been reported in Kerala. Maharashtra is at number two where more than six thousand cases have been registered.
