Corona Lockdown extended in Bihar till 25th May

New Delhi: The Lockdown which was about to end on May 15 in Bihar, has been extended till May 25. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar (CM Nitish Kumar) himself gave this information by tweeting. He indicated this in his message on Wednesday itself.

Lockdown extended in Bihar:

In fact, after the lockdown was imposed in Bihar, the spread of coronavirus has been controlled to a large extent. Business organizations, doctors as well as administration officials were of the opinion that the chain of corona virus infection would be broken by extending this lockdown a little further.

CM Nitish tweeted about Lockdown:

The Chief Minister has tweeted that the status of the lockdown implemented in Bihar was reviewed today along with associate ministers and officials. The positive effect of the lockdown is visible. In view of this, it has been decided to extend the lockdown in Bihar for the next 10 days i.e. from 16 to 25 May 2021.

State Chief Secretary Tripurari Sharan told that the lockdown is showing positive effects. Corona infection cases have also come down, in view of which it has been increased to 25 May.

The Bihar government had sought feedback from all the districts regarding the impact of the lockdown and the need to carry it forward. On Wednesday, DMs of all districts in the VC along with state level officials agreed to carry forward the lockdown. The government will soon issue a guideline for the new head lockdown.

State President of BJP, Sanjay Jaiswal, a key ally in the Nitish government, had already demanded a lockdown. Therefore, the government hopes to get full support from the BJP in this decision.
