Chinese Army has entered Indian territory upto 1 km: Reports

New Delhi: In what could be said as a major blow to India, Chinese Army transgressed into Indian territory via Uttarakhand's Barahoti on July 25, said reports.

The sources said that army entered on Tuesday at about 09:00 am and came into Indian territory upto 800m to 1 km.

The stand-off between India and China at Doklam has become a major issue of contention, with some experts fearing it could lead to a war.

China has told India repeatedly to withdraw troops from Doklam, which it calls as its own territory. New Delhi has said that troops from both sides should withdraw for a dialogue as Doklam belongs to its ally Bhutan.

Bhutan, a Himalayan nation that has no diplomatic ties with China, also protested against the road construction by Chinese troops.
