Chhattisgarh: Two BSF troopers martyred in Maoist attack

Raipur: Two Border Security Force (BSF) troopers were ,martyred and one was critically injured in a Maoist attack in Kanker district of Chhattisgarh on Sunday.

The deceased BSF personnel have been identified as Lokendra Singh from Rajasthan and Mukhtiyar Singh of Punjab. The injured trooper, Sandeep, was immediately taken to the hospital where the doctors stated that his condition is critical.

Kanker Superintendent of Police K.L. Dhruv said, "A BSF patrol party was attacked by the Maoists following which there was a gun battle."

It is to be mentioned that he exchange of fire lasted for about an hour in which the two BSF personnel lost their lives.
