Cabinet reshuffle in the days to come; major changes expected

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to reshuffle his Union council of ministers on Tuesday.

Minister of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Kalraj Mishra may be ousted from the Bharatiya Janata Party. As per the party policy, Kalraj of Uttar Pradesh may be on his way out, attaining the age of 75.

The reshuffle was also necessitated following the resignation of Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar. He submitted his resignation to become the Goa Chief Minister.

It may be mentioned here that Finance Minister Arun Jaitley was given additional charge of Defence ministry along with Finance ministry.

Few other changes in the portfolios of other ministers are also expected. Infact, reshuffle was kept pending due to elections in five states.
