New Delhi: Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has made a big announcement for the health sector. It was already expected that in the Corona crisis, the Modi government will announce something special for the health sector. The Modi government has made a huge increase in the budget for the health sector and has also announced a special scheme.

Budget Allocation for Health Sector:

The Modi government has given the gift of self-reliant health scheme to the countrymen in the budget. The health budget has increased by 135 percent. The health budget has been increased from 94 thousand to 2.38 lakh crore. 64180 crore rupees has been given by the government for self-sufficient healthy India scheme. In addition, the government will undertake the local mission of the World Health Organization (WHO) in India.

Announcement of 35 thousand crores for Corona vaccine

Along with this, Nirmala Sitharaman has announced Rs 35 thousand crore for the corona vaccine. The Finance Minister said that the health sector budget has been increased by 137 percent. The Finance Minister has also announced to carry forward the Swachh Bharat Mission. Under this, the Amrit Yojana will be extended in cities.

For this, Rs 2,87,000 crore has been released by the government. The Finance Minister has also announced Mission Nutrition 2.0. One lakh 41 thousand crore rupees will be spent on Urban Clean India Mission 2.0 in next 5 years. Two thousand crore rupees will be used for clean air.

The finance minister said in the budget speech that the government will spend about Rs 61 thousand crore in the coming 6 years in this area. He informed that under this, expenditure will be spent on health services from primary level to higher level. There will also be a focus on new diseases, which will be separate from the National Health Mission.

75 thousand rural health centers will be opened

The Finance Minister has announced that 75 thousand rural health centers will be opened. Detection centers in all districts, Critical care hospitals will be opened in 602 districts. He said that the National Center for Disease Control, Integrated Health Info Portal will be further strengthened. 17 new public health units will also be started.
