Budget 2017: Amit Shah praises; Rahul, Nitish, Lalu call it upsetting

New Delhi: Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Wednesday presented the fourth budget of the Narendra Modi government, most awaited one after demonetisation. At one hand BJP President Amit Shah applauded the budget while opposition including Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Lalu Prasad Yadav dubbed it as upsetting.

Here are the views of Rahul Gandhi, Nitish Kumar and Lalu Prasad Yadav in slides:

Rahul Gandhi: The budget has nothing for farmers, poor, youth and lacks vision. It is just ‘sher-o-shayari’ in the budget.

Nitish Kumar: This budget could not speed up the growth and development. It has nothing for commoners, youth and poor.

Lalu Prasad Yadav: The budget has nothing for farmers who have been committing suicide. It is disappointing.

Bharatiya Janata Party President lauded budget 2017, saying, the budget will deliver all-round development. Terming it historic, he said that the budget is pro-village and pro-farmers.
