Chandigarh:Deputy Inspector General of Border Security Force ( BSF ), RS Kataria, on Tuesday seized a Pakistani boat in Gurudaspur in Punjab on suspicion of carrying terrorist.

The seizure was made in the light of intelligence input that some suspicious boats had arrived at Indian Coasts from Karachi in Pakistan.

A high alert was sounded in the country following the intelligence input on possible terror attacks by Pakistani terror outfits to take s a revenge on surgical strike in Pak occupied Kashmir (PoK).

It may be mention that The Indian Navy as well as the Coast Guard were informed and alerted about these boats.The latitude and longitude of the boat had been tracked by the intelligence agencies. The intelligence input, had mentioned earlier that one of those two boats had dodged the technical trap and was holding up in Pakistani waters.
