Brutal Attack on 1.5-Year-Old in Gorakhpur; Arrested Culprit Laughs Upon Detention

Gorakhpur: In a shocking incident fueled by anger and intoxication, a heartless individual mercilessly beat a 1.5-year-old innocent child on the road. Even after the heinous act, the assailant showed no remorse on his face. The perpetrator, identified as Election Patel from the Champiyarganj area of Gorakhpur, was found intoxicated with alcohol on Friday when he brutally attacked the toddler.

Election Patel, cycling back from his field in Mohanag village near Champiyarganj police station, accompanied by his wife, came across Anuj Sahani's house. At that moment, Anuj's 19-month-old son, Adarsh Sahani, was playing on the road in front of their house. Without any provocation, the inhumane attacker picked up the unsuspecting child and ruthlessly slammed him onto the concrete road multiple times.

Despite the efforts of some women who witnessed the incident and tried to rescue the child, the heartless assailant continued his violent assault. Tragically, the innocent child lost his life on the spot. After the crime, Election Patel not only fled the scene but also injured himself while attempting to escape. Chief Executive Officer Vijay Anand Shahi arrived at the crime scene to conduct an investigation.

The police have arrested the suspect, Election Patel, who was found laughing upon detention. The authorities are conducting further inquiries, although no clear motive for the murder has been disclosed.

It's worth noting that Election Patel has a history of erratic behavior, being involved in a similar incident a few years ago where he fatally attacked his own father, Gurdeep Patel, with a sharp object.
