New Delhi: In the backdrop of anti-China atmosphere in India, the government has given a strong shock to the dragon. In fact, the import of air conditioners (AC) that come with refrigerants has been banned by the Government of India. This decision has dealt a big blow to Chinese businessmen.

Government of India took this big step:

The government has taken this step to promote domestic manufacturing and reduce the import of non-essential goods. Due to this, Chinese traders will have to suffer a lot of losses.

For information, let us tell you that there is AC market in India around 40 thousand crore rupees. At the same time, India imports about 28 percent of its requirement from AC.

Ban on import of AC:

The Directorate General of Foreign Trade- DGFT has issued a notification saying that the policy has been revised regarding the import of air conditioners with refrigerants. Under which it has been put in the restrictive list. Imports of all types of air conditioners have been banned. According to the notification, many foreign companies have set up their plants in India, they will not be affected.
