Patna: Five prisoners, in the wee hours of Friday, escaped from Buxar Central Jail scaling the prison wall. Among the five convicts, four were facing life imprisonment.

“Escaped prisioners included Prajit Singh (Motihari), Girdhari Rai (Chapra), Sonu Pandey and Upendra Sah of Ara and Sonu Singh (Brahampur),” said Superintendent of Police Upendra Sharma.

Thick fog must have helped them in escaping, he added. Police found pipe, iron rod and dhoti from the spot.

This is for the third time when such incident has taken place in 2016.
