Like every year before Diwali, the air in the capital Delhi has started reaching dangerous levels.

The air in the National Capital Region (NCR) has reached poor condition. Air quality in Delhi has reached 'very poor' category with latest AQI 309. On Monday, Greater Noida was the most polluted city in the National Capital Region, while Delhi remained at second place. This information is given in the data of Air Quality app.

Air quality index in Delhi reached the level of 310

According to Air Quality Index app Sameer, the Air Quality Index (AQI) of Greater Noida was recorded at 325 on Monday. According to the data, the air quality index was recorded at 310 in the national capital Delhi, 260 in Ghaziabad and 275 in Noida.

What is the AQI level in NCR?

According to this, the AQI level of Faridabad has been recorded at 267, Gurugram at 216 and Bahadurgarh at 275. It said that on Sunday, AQI was recorded at 354 in Greater Noida, 322 in Faridabad, 313 in Delhi and 304 in Noida.

Delhi's air becomes poisonous every winter

Every year, the national capital battles eye-stinging smog and severely toxic air during winter. AQI between zero and 50 is considered 'good', 51 to 100 'satisfactory', 101 to 200 'moderate', 201 to 300 'poor', 301 to 400 'very poor' and 401 to Anything between 500 is considered 'severe'.

The Meteorological Department has predicted the sky to be mainly clear on Monday. It said that today the maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 31 and 17 degrees Celsius respectively.

Delhi Environment Minister Gopal Rai will chair a meeting with concerned departments on Monday regarding the implementation of measures under the central government's pollution control scheme.
