Assembly Election 2022: PM Modi slams CM Charanjit Channi for remark on 'bhaiyas' from UP

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing a public meeting in Abohar on Thursday, claimed that today the whole of Punjab wants a double engine government. In a public meeting organized in Abohar's New Anaj Mandi, Modi, furious at CM Channi's statement of UP's brother, called it shameful and without naming Priyanka Gandhi said that a family sitting in Delhi was clapping on it.

Modi said that Guru Gobind Singh ji was born in Patna and you say that people of Bihar will not be allowed to enter. Sant Ravidas Ravidas ji was also born in Uttar Pradesh, so will you erase his name too? You say that you will not let your brothers enter. There is not a single village in Punjab where the people of UP Bihar do not work hard. PM Modi said that Congress has always been fighting the people of one region against another.

He said that if the BJP government comes, the mafia will be bid farewell. He appealed to the people to give him a chance to serve for five years. He said that what the Congress leaders were doing at the time of 84 riots, who can know more than you. I was in Gujarat at that time, did not let a single Sikh family suffer.

Modi said that this is my last meeting in Punjab in this election. I have been to different areas of Punjab in the last few days. Today only one voice is being raised in entire Punjab, BJP has to win, NDA has to win. He told the people that you see, there are so many states of the country where the Congress went once, did not come back and where the BJP got blessings, the Congress got wiped out from the root.

Modi said that Punjab is full of possibilities, but industries are leaving from here. No one is ready to come here early because of the policies of the Congress government. Only a double engine government can change these situations. Today every business in Punjab is under the control of mafia. Traders are being forced to live on the grace of mafia. The biggest problem is being faced by our small traders.
