The troubles of TMC MP Mahua Moitra, who was expelled from Lok Sabha in the case of taking bribe and asking questions in Parliament, don’t seem to stop. Another complaint has been lodged against Mahua. This time lawyer Anant Dehadrai has written a letter to CBI in this matter. He expressed suspicion that Mahua Moitra was monitoring him. Anant Dehadrai alleges that Mahua Moitra is spying on his phone using her contacts in Bengal.

Anant alleges that TMC leaders have been threatening him earlier also that she knows where Anant is. Dehadrai says that TMC leaders have been spying on others in the past also.

Anant Dehadrai is the same person who had accused Mahua Moitra of taking money and asking questions in Parliament. Now Anant has accused Mahua of spying on her. He has written a letter to Home Minister Amit Shah and CBI Director on 29 December regarding this. Anant alleges that Mahua is getting his phone tracked.

On October 14, 2023, Mahua Moitra's ex-live-in partner and Supreme Court lawyer Jai Anant Dehdrai had complained against Mahua for taking bribe and asking questions in Parliament. Jai Anant Dehdraai had also written a letter to BJP MP Nishikant Dubey on the same matter.

On October 15, BJP MP from Godda, Jharkhand, Nishikant Dubey made the same complaint about Mahua Moitra to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla. Dubey demanded suspension of Moitra. On October 16, BJP MP Nishikant Dubey demanded Union IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnav and Minister of State for IT Rajiv Chandrashekhar to investigate the log-in ID and IP of Mahua Moitra's Parliament account. Mahua also asked for CDR and log-in details of all the MPs. Rajiv Chandrashekhar had also tweeted on this.

On October 17, the Speaker handed over the complaint of BJP MP Nishikant Dubey to the Ethics Committee. On the same day, Mahua filed a defamation petition in the Delhi High Court. On October 18, the Lok Sabha Ethics Committee issued a notice asking Nishikant Dubey to appear before the committee on October 26. The statement of lawyer Jai Anant Dehdraai was also taken on the same day.

This matter became so serious that Mahua was dismissed from the Lok Sabha during the winter session of Parliament.
