Andhra Pradesh: 14 killed, 4 injured in van-truck collision at Kurnool Highway

New Delhi: At least 14 people died and 4 others were injured in a fierce collision between a van and a truck near Madarpur village in Valdurti mandal in Andhra Pradesh's Kurnool district on Sunday morning. According to the information received, the injured have been admitted to the Government General Hospital.

Driver died in the accident:

Kurnool Superintendent of Police (SP) said that 18 people were in the vehicle at the time of the accident. The accident occurred around 4 am in Veladurti mandal near Madapuram, about 25 km from Kurnool. The driver also died in this accident.

The incident brought back memories of the incident two days ago when a bus fell into a deep pit at Anantagiri near Araku in Visakhapatnam district. There were 30 people aboard this bus, out of which 8 people died.
