Amartya Sen hail & hearty-Daughter

Famous economist and Nobel laureate Amartya Sen’s daughter Nandana Deb Sen has refuted the reports about her father’s death. Nandana has called the news of her father's death fake. She issued a statement on social media platform X and denied his death. Nandana wrote on X (formerly Twitter),

'Friends, thanks for your concern but this is fake news: Baba is completely fine. We had a wonderful weekend with the family in Cambridge - their hugs were as strong as ever last night when we said goodbye! He is teaching 2 courses per week at Harvard, busy as always working on his gender book.

In fact, on Tuesday, October 10, the news of the death of Nobel laureate Amartya Sen was going viral on social media platforms. However, daughter Nandana Deb Sen has denied this and called the news a rumour.

It may be mentioned that the country's famous economist Amartya Sen was born in the year 1933 in Shantiniketan, West Bengal. He was awarded the Nobel Prize in the year 1998. It is known that he was the first Indian to be awarded the Nobel Prize in Economics.
