New Delhi: The level of pollution in Delhi is not taking its name. On Wednesday morning, the capital was recorded in 'very poor' with an air quality index (AQI) of 385. On the other hand, 349 was recorded on Tuesday i.e. on December 21. The Delhi government yesterday decided to lift the ban on construction works citing the low pollution level in Delhi and also allowed the entry of trucks coming from outside.

Delhi Air Quality:

According to the System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting and Research (SAFAR), Delhi's Air Quality Index (AQI) was recorded at 385 on Wednesday morning. Which is in very poor category. At the same time, the air quality index in Noida, adjacent to Delhi, reached from 'very poor' to 'severe' with 507. Wherein in Gurugram it was recorded in very poor category with 319. In Delhi, it was recorded at 349 on Tuesday.

The AQI between zero and 50 is 'good', between 51 and 100 'satisfactory', between 101 and 200 'moderate', between 201 and 300 as 'poor'. ', between 301 and 400 is considered 'very poor' and between 401 and 500 in the 'severe' category.

At the same time, yesterday, that is, on Tuesday, the Delhi government removed the ban imposed to reduce pollution. In which permission has been given to resume construction works and the entry of trucks coming from outside has also been allowed.

AQI above 400:

Talking to the media, State Minister Gopal Rai said that the pollution level inside Delhi continued to increase after Diwali and the AQI level had reached 500. In view of this, all construction and demolition activities inside Delhi were banned. All the trucks coming from outside were banned inside Delhi. Only trucks connected with essential services were exempted. School-college was closed inside Delhi.

The minister said that now gradually the pollution situation in Delhi is showing steady improvement and stability. Delhi's AQI level in critical condition has not reached on any day for the last 10 days. With the removal of the ban on construction works, the entry of trucks coming from outside has been allowed. The rules related to air pollution have to be strictly followed at all construction sites.
