AIADMK factions get new names, symbols ahead of RK Nagar bypoll

New Delhi: O Panneerselvam led AIADMK camp will now be known as 'AIADMK Puratchi Thalaivi Amma' and will contest the coming Radhakrishnan Nagar bypoll with the symbol of 'electric pole'.

The faction of Sasikala has got the 'hat' symbol and will be called 'AIADMK Amma'

The decision was taken by the Election Commission of India here.

The announcement was made following a meeting with both the representatives of both the factions.

Earlier, on Wednesday, EC had put the AIADMK name and ‘two leaves’ party symbol on freeze over the brawl between the two factions of the political outfit, led by O Panneerselvam and VK Sasikala.
