New Delhi: Confronting Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) minister Kapil Mishra on Tuesday questioned former’s stand on Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist Burhan Wani who was killed in an encounter killing on July 6.

Addressing a gathering at a tourism meet where Mehbooba was also present, he said:

  • Can tourism and terrorism go together? How will tourism grow in India?
  • Mehbooba should tell us if she considers Burhan Wani and Afzal Guru terrorists.
  • You say Afzal Guru was not a terrorist, and that he should not be hanged. And then you seek boost in tourism. How will tourism grow? It won’t grow.

Kapil left the stage, saying, “It is very painful that terrorists are being treated as tourists in Kashmir. I don’t feel like sharing the stage with Mehbooba Mufti, I should leave.”

Mehbooba, however, replied hard targeting Arvind Kejriwal governance regarding the increase of crimes against women in the national capital.

What Mehbooba Mufti said?

  • Yes, there have been tensions in J&K but Kashmir is the safest place because no tourist has ever been harmed there.
  • I would say women, girls are the safest in Kashmir.
  • There is no fear of getting raped in a moving car.
