2007 Ajmer blast: Swami Aseemanand acquitted, three found guilty

Jaipur: Six accused including former Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) member Swami Aseemanand in the Ajmer Dargah bombing case of 2007 on Wednesday were acquitted by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) court.

It has convicted three others including Sunil Joshi, Devendra Gupta and Bhavesh Patel.

Aseemanand had been facing some serious charges like spreading communal hatred and murder. He was put behind the bars in 2010 following his acceptance of his involvement in the terror attack on the train. He, however, later had said that he was tortured to make false statement.
