In Ayurveda, both basil and curry leaves are considered very important. They are still consumed as herbs even today. Consuming them daily provides health benefits. Along with this, these leaves are very beneficial in weight loss. So if you also want to lose weight in Ayurvedic way but are confused whether to eat basil or curry leaves then here is the answer.

Basil leaves:

Basil leaves with medicinal properties are considered a panacea for many diseases. Basil also contains antioxidants like vitamins, minerals, lutein, beta-carotene, zeaxanthin and beta-cryptoxanthin. With this the body is able to fight free radicals.

Benefits of Tulsi:

Basil leaves have anti-bacterial properties, which when consumed help in fighting heart diseases, cancer, arthritis, respiratory, urine, stomach and skin infections.

Get rid of obesity:

Consumption of basil leaves is also beneficial for the stomach. Eating this keeps the digestive system healthy and is also helpful in reducing weight. 3 to 4 basil leaves should be consumed every morning.

Curry leaf:

Curry leaves are used extensively in Indian food. It has hypo-glycemic properties along with abundant fiber, which increases insulin activity and strengthens the immunity system.

Benefits of curry leaves:

The high fiber content found in curry leaves slows down the process of breakdown of carbohydrates into glucose, thereby keeping blood sugar under control. Along with fiber, curry leaves contain elements like protein, iron, phosphorus, calcium and multivitamins.

Lose weight:

Research has found that the elements present in curry leaves are helpful in reducing obesity. Every morning on an empty stomach, chew 5 or 6 curry leaves and drink lukewarm water or boil these leaves in hot water and consume it. By doing this daily, weight will reduce rapidly. Compared to basil, curry leaves are considered beneficial in reducing weight faster.
