You must heard about the Air Quality Index of Delhi which is constantly increasing badly. Not in the national capital but the Air Quality Index (AQI) of cities like Mumbai, Jaipur, and others is also reaching dangerous levels.

This smog, which lasts for about three months, contains dissolved nitrogen oxides, sulfur oxides, and smoke. Due to this, the air becomes poisonous which causes breathing problems, lung infections, heart attacks, asthma, stroke, and respiratory diseases, etc.

As we all know plants are the natural sources of pure Oxygen, today we are going to tell you about six plants that work to clean the air and provide fresh air. It also enhances the beauty of the house.

These small plants can be installed anywhere in the house that will continue provide pure oxygen.

Money plant: The money plant is the most common plant which planted in the house. It is also known as Golden Pothos or devil's ivy. The most special thing about this plant is that it releases oxygen even at night and it also grows very easily. By keeping any part of the money plant in a small pot or jar of water, it starts growing automatically. You can plant this plant anywhere from garden to bedroom.

Peace Lily: The leaves of Peace Lily are dark green in color and large. This is a kind of natural air purifier. This plant eliminates benzene, trichloroethane, and formaldehyde from inside the house. Electronic air purifier also does the same work. This plant can grow easily in small pots. It has the ability to purify air up to 60 percent. Due to this quality, it is the best plant for asthma or respiratory patients. It also does not allow mold and fungus to form during rainy and winter seasons.

Snake plant: Snake plant works as a natural air purifier. This plant eliminates particles like xylene, benzene and toluene from the air. It is also known as wipers bowstring hemp. Like the money plant, it also releases oxygen at night. This plant does not require much care after planting. You can easily grow it in a small pot or home lawn.

Areca Palm: Areca palm plants remove the largest amount of formaldehyde from the air. When the weather becomes dry in winter, this plant also fulfills the need of humidifier. According to the scientists, it provides one liter of water in 24 hours. Apart from formaldehyde, this plant also removes carbon monoxide, benzene, xylene and trichloroethylene from the air.

This plant protects from a poisonous element called toluene found in smog. This plant can be easily planted in a place with less sunlight and it also drinks less water.

Rubber plant: It can also planted in home gardens. It also works like an air purifier which removes carbon and bio effluent from the air. If you have animals in your house then do not use it, because it is poisonous. This plant can help in removing harmful dust particles present in the house. Take some leaves from its lower part and plant them in another pot.

Aloe vera: Aloe vera is used for multiple purposes. The gel released from its leaves is beneficial for our skin. It works as an air purifier. It also removes benzene and formaldehyde from the air. Aloe vera releases oxygen at night.​
