Bad cholesterol is also called silent killer. When cholesterol starts increasing excessively in the body, it starts accumulating in the blood vessels. Due to this bad cholesterol, the vessels get blocked due to which the blood flow is obstructed and the blood is not able to reach the entire body properly. Heart attack and stroke can also be caused by high cholesterol. In such a situation, it is important to identify high cholesterol in time. Here some such symptoms of high cholesterol are being mentioned which start appearing on hands and feet.

Symptoms of high cholesterol on hands and feet:

Pain in hands and feet:

Blood vessels get blocked due to high cholesterol. Due to this, blood does not reach the hands and legs properly due to which pain starts. This problem becomes more serious when blood flow slows down due to high cholesterol.

Skin color change:

Most of the changes start appearing in the skin of the feet. Yellow rashes may appear on the feet when cholesterol increases. These yellow marks or yellowing of the skin could mean high cholesterol.

Change in nail color:

In case of high cholesterol, it is common for toenails to break, become dry and appear black or yellow. Toenails can also become thick due to bad cholesterol.

Stiffness in the muscles of the arms and legs:

Due to high cholesterol, there may also be stiffness in the muscles of legs and hands. Due to this, pain in legs and hands becomes common at any time. This can also cause difficulty in walking.

Blistering:

Blisters may appear on hands and feet if blood does not flow properly. Small rashes can also be seen on hands and feet. Mostly these rashes appear near the toes and ankles of the feet.

Numbness in hands and feet:

If your hands and legs become numb at any time, then it is possible that the amount of cholesterol in your blood has also started increasing. Numbness of hands and feet can be caused by deterioration in blood flow and oxygen not reaching different parts of the body.
