The Corona era threatens to return once again in the country. The increasing number of new cases in the last 24 hours has increased the concern.

The continuously increasing cases of Corona are scaring people. In the latest update, the Union Health Ministry said that the number of active cases of Covid-19 in India has crossed 3,000 on Saturday.

In the last 24 hours, 752 new cases of this dangerous virus have been found, which is the highest number of cases found in a day after May 2023. The increasing cases of Covid have increased the concern of the government. The Health Ministry said in its update that four patients have died during this period.

According to the released data, active cases of Covid are increasing in more than a dozen states of the country, including states like Kerala (266), Karnataka (70), Maharashtra (15), Tamil Nadu (13) and Gujarat (12).

Two deaths were recorded in Kerala and one each in Karnataka and Rajasthan due to Covid. The death toll due to this virus has increased to 5,33,332. In its update, the Health Ministry said that 325 people recovered in the last 24 hours.

WHO said it is continuously monitoring new evidence on a large scale and will update the JN.1 risk assessment as necessary. According to WHO, current vaccines continue to protect against severe disease and death against JN.1 and other circulating variants of SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19.
