Eclipse is an astronomical event but its Sutak period is also very important. Whenever an eclipse occurs, Sutak period starts before it. Sutak period is considered an inauspicious time and it is said that no work should be done especially during Sutak period. Especially pregnant women are prohibited from doing some work. It is believed that pregnant women should be careful during the eclipse.

Although scientifically, the eclipse has no effect on the pregnant woman during the eclipse, but religiously it is said to be important to keep some things in mind. The first solar eclipse of this year will take place on 8th April and the second lunar eclipse will take place on the night of 17-18 September. In such a situation, know here what tasks pregnant women should avoid doing according to religious beliefs and what kind of precautions are necessary.

Pregnant women are also prohibited from going out during the eclipse. It is said that if there is an eclipse then the atmosphere becomes extremely negative. That is why it is better if pregnant women stay at home during this period.

Sleeping is also prohibited during the eclipse. Pregnant women are asked to remember God during this time.

Whenever there is an eclipse, it is prohibited to take bath. But, bathing can be done after the eclipse period is over.

The first solar eclipse of the year will take place on 8th April. This is going to be a total solar eclipse due to which the Sun becomes completely dark. This eclipse can be seen from Europe, North America, South America, Pacific, Atlantic and Arctic, this eclipse will not be visible in India.
