New Delhi: In his bid to overcome the scary numbers in England, Indian skipper Virat Kohli will be seen playing County Cricket ahead of India's tour of England, beginning August.

Kohli, who would don Surrey's jersey, is likely to play three four-day matches against Hampshire, Somerset and Yorkshire, scheduled between 9-28 June, owing to which he will miss Afghanistan's debut Test in India, starting June 14.

Virat would fly to London after the conclusion of the 11th edition of Indian Premier League (IPL).

Notably, Kohli's last visit to England was horrible with his scores in five Tests read 1, 8, 25, 0, 39, 28, 0, 7, 6 and 20 at a gloomy average of 13.40.
