Mumbai: Owing to an extremely explosive start by openers Suryakumar Yadav and Evin Lewis, Mumbai Indians (MI) piled up a humongous score of 194/7 against Delhi Daredevils (DD) after being put in to bat first at the Wankhede Stadium here on Saturday.

The openers not only scored 84 runs in the first six overs but shared the crease in a 102-run blistering partnership which came off only 54 balls. Yadav completed his fifty before returning to the dugout as he scored 53 runs off 32 balls with 7 fours and a six, while Lewis scored 48 runs off 28 balls hitting 4 fours and 4 sixes.

Ishan Kishan was also at his belligerent best as he scored 44 runs off 23 balls hitting 5 fours and 2 sixes. The disappointment for MI started to come from the following batsmen.

Skipper Rohit Sharma, who had demoted himself at No 4 today, could only score 18 runs off 15 balls with 2 boundaries only. He got out when MI needed some acceleration in scoring rate. Kieron Pollard also failed miserably and went for a golden duck.

Krunal Pandya scored 11 runs off 10 balls with one four only, while Hardik Pandya went for 2 runs off 3 balls. Akila Dananjaya added 4 runs off 5 balls while Maayank Markande scored 4 runs off 3 balls.

Trent Boult, Daniel Christian and Rahul Tewatia bagged two wickets each while Mohammed Shami managed one scalp.

It surely is going to be a huge task for DD to chase down a target as big as 195 runs against the Mumbai attack.
