UP-cadre IPS GK Goswami, 5 others appointed Joint Directors in CBI

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh-cadre IPS officer Dr Gajendra Kumar Goswami aka GK Goswami is among the six officials who have been appointed as the Joint Directors in Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Thursday.

The 1997-batch IPL was appointed by CBI on July 27, 2013 and has headed several high profile cases in his career.

Dr Goswami has also served as Superintendent of Police in many districts including Lucknow, Varanasi and Moradabad. He has also penned four books on 'crime research'.

He will continue his services as the Joint Director of CBI till July 20, 2020.

Apart from Goswami, five others have also been named the CBI Joint Director who include Praveen Sinha, Ajay Bhatnagar, Pankaj Kumar Srivastava, Sharad Aggarwal and V Murugesan.
