Lucknow: In a sensational letter, a Samajwadi Party leader has alleged that a woman leader was elevated as Minister of State in the previous Akhilesh Yadav-led Uttar Pradesh government after she spent a night with a senior party leader.

The SP leader, Sudhir Singh, in his resignation letter, dated April 2, has held former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav guilty for SP's poll debacle in the state.

"A woman leader was named Minister of State by the Akhilesh Yadav government after she spent a night with a senior party leader. He even distributed party tickets to the women who compromised their dignity with his close friends," alleged Sudhir, adding, "Akhilesh's vanity was the main reason behind SP's poll defeat. He never listened to anyone apart from his 'Navratna'."

"Ram Gopal Yadav is like the famous Ramayana character 'Shakuni', who conspired a ploy against Mulayam Singh Yadav and Shivpal Yadav to get them out of Samajwadi Party," he claimed.

It may be recalled that after a bitter family feud ahead of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, Akhilesh Yadav had expelled then SP state president and his uncle Shivpal Yadav from the party while, had dethroned father Mulayam Singh Yadav as the party national president to take over the reins.

He advised Akhilesh Yadav to bring his father and uncle back in the party fold to rejuvenate its image in the state. Sudhir also suggested him to review his 'Navratna', claiming, 'five years who did not have potential to buy a cycle, are now commuting in their BMW cars'.
