Lucknow: Prime Minister Narendra Modi might be bragging high about 'Digital India' but the bureaucracy of BJP-led Uttar Pradesh seems to be least concerned about its digital platforms.

An example of the same sheer negligence of 'Digital India' was seen when we cross checked the government website of UP bureaucracy (https://niyuktionline.up.nic.in/), which is still showing Rajiv Kumar as the Chief Secretary, while Anup Chandra Pandey has taken charge of the office more than two weeks ago.

The official website of Department of Appointment and Personnel has no mention of Chief Secretary Anup Chandra Pandey. This blunder is the reason why even Wikipedia is showing Rajiv Kumar as the Chief Secretary of the state.

Apart from this, Raj Pratap Singh, who after retirement has been appointed as the chief of Electrical Regulatory Department, is still being shown as Agricultural Production Commissioner of the state.

The website is even showing Deepak Trivedi as the Principle Secretary of Yogi Adityanath-led UP government, while Mukul Singhal had taken the charge of the office more than 10 days back.

This is more shocking because the UP bureaucracy has been making high claims about e-governance.

It has been months since the retirement of IAS officer Sadakant, but the website is still showing him as the Additional Chief Secretary of Public Works Department (PWD).

The website is also showing Hari Raj Kishor posted in the co-operative department, but unfortunately he passed away recently on June 16 and even CM Yogi had attended the last rites of the Late IAS officer.

Anita Singh is currently serving as the Principle Secretary in the Minor Irrigation department, but as per the website, she is working in the National Integration department.

Similarly, Sanjeev Saran has been appointed as the head of Transport Corporation, but the website is mentioning him as the Additional Chief Secretary in the Information Technology department.

Website claims that IAS officer Lalit Verma is posted in the General Administration department, while he is working in the Revenue Council.

Since the change in guard of the Uttar Pradesh bureaucracy, none of the changes in various departments have been uploaded on the official website of Department of Appointment and Personnel.

These are some of the blunders we have pointed out in the official website of the UP bureaucracy as there are plenty of more of them. Anyone who would be relying on the data shown on the website will be left with no options but to criticise the UP government and its functioning.
