Mumbai: Bold and beautiful actress of Indian Cine industry Vidya Balan has led the way in breaking stereotypes for mainstream Bollywood actresses. Her effortless command in portraying intense characters makes her a delight to watch on screen.

The actress recently spoke her heart out, about her memories with her mother, ahead of the Mother’s Day Television Premiere of Kahaani 2 on May 14.

Speaking of her favourite childhood memory, the actress expressed, “Oh God! How do I pick out one memory from my childhood with my mother! But I remember in the scorching heat, my mom and I were walking back from school and we pass this huge open space where a mad woman used to stay. Every afternoon, I was petrified of the fact that she might spot me and run to me. And, I would always feel so secure holding my mother’s hand.”

The actress also talked about playing a mother in the film. On being asked about the Mother’s Day Premiere of the film, she said, “It is wonderful that Zee is premiering Kahaani 2 on Mother’s Day because I think Kahaani 2 is really about a woman who has not given birth to this child but she feels extremely protective like that of a biological mother. A mother is a natural giver and will do anything to protect her child, which is why it is an ode to every mother who is ready to put her life on the line for the sake of her child. In a way, I think every little gesture that a mother does; you see that instinct playing out in different ways.”

The Television premiere of the movie will be on May 14 at 12 noon on Zee Cinema.
