SRK averts clash with Akshay; Know past history of their battles

Mumbai: Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan is playing safe this time as has averted the Independence Day clash with Khiladi Akshay Kumar.

SRK's 'Jab Harry Met Sejal' will now arrive in theatres a week before Akki's 'Toilet- Ek Prem Katha' i.e. on August 4.

It could also be seen as a smart move by King Khan as now Imtiaz Ali directorial will also enjoy Rakshabandhan holiday on August 7.

One thing which need not to be forgotten is that Neeraj Pandey produced flick will also get the advantage of Janmashtami on 14th August, Independence Day on 15th August and Parsi New Year on 17th August.

Earlier, King Khan’s ‘Raees’ clashed with ‘Mohenjo Daro’ of Hrithik Roshan and ‘Raees’ did not live up to the expectations despite scoring well at the Box Office.

It may be recalled here that both superstars have clashed twice at the Bollywood Box Office and on both occasions Shah Rukh emerged victorious.

Four years back, Akki's 'Once Upon A Time in Mumbai Doobara' clashed with 'Chennai Express' of SRK and latter's flick is still his highest grosser of all time.

In 2004, King Khan's 'Veer-Zaara'battled with 'Aitraaz' of Akshay. Both films did well at the Box Office but SRK turned out winner at the end.
