Varanasi: Thanking Uttar Pradesh tourism for its hospitality, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan on Tuesday was all praises for Varanasi. He expressed gratitude to the state tourism, saying, he finds himself lucky to visit such a holy place.

With release of 'Jab Harry Met Sejal' heading nearer, its star cast including Shah Rukh Khan, Anushka Sharma and director Imtiaz Ali were here for the promotion of their upcoming film.

Uttar Pradesh tourism posted a welcome tweet on King Khan's arrival in the holy city, in reply to which the Bollywood heartthrob thanked the state's tourism, promising to come back soon.

“Banaras was heartened to welcome Harry, Sejal and Imtiaz. Wish you good luck for the movie. #UPTourism @iamsrk @AnushkaSharma @ManojTiwariMP,” the Uttar Pradesh tourism said on its official handle on Tuesday.

Bhojpuri actor and Bharatiya Janata Party MP Manoj Tiwari hosted the event, comprising Shah Rukh, Anushka and Imtiaz.

Taking everyone in sheer delight, both SRK and Anushka chanted 'Har Har Mahadev' in the spiritual capital of India. They also fed the famous Banarasi paan from a 70-year old shop.
