Salman Khan has apologised for 'mistakenly' submitting a false affidavit in the court back in 2003, during his hearing in a controversial case related to the poaching of two blackbucks in Kankani village near Jodhpur in 1998. The final verdict for the on-going case will be pronounced on Thursday. Considering the pandemic restrictions, Salman proposed his appeal against conviction in the blackbuck poaching case by appearing before the Jodhpur session court through video conferencing.

Salman Khan:

During one of the hearings, Salman’s lawyer, Hastimal Saraswat told the court the affidavit was ‘mistakenly’ submitted on August 8, 2003. He added that the actor had forgotten his license was given for renewal. Considering his busy schedule and hence he stated his license had gone ‘missing’ in the court.

Salman was under fire for illegally killing two blackbucks. The case was registered against him under the Arms Act for which the actor lodged an FIR. Unfortunately for him, the court later discovered his arms license was not lost and was instead given for renewal. Public prosecutor Bhavani Singh Bhati had then demanded that a case of ‘misleading the court’ should be filed against the actor.
