Mumbai: The rumors of veteran actor Kader Khan's death are busted and he is admitted to a hospital in Canada and is alive.

There were many media reports which claimed the death of Bollywood actor Kader Khan but his son Sarfaraz revealed that these are just fake news and rumors.

It is to be mentioned that the social media was flooded with the fake news of Khan’s death after he was admitted to a hospital in Canada for the treatment of Progressive Supranuclear Palsy, a brain disease.

However, Kader’s son has dismissed all the rumors, "My father is alive and he is in Canada. He is undergoing a treatment there.’ Earlier, Kader Khan was on regular ventilator but due to breathing issues Khan has been transferred to BiPAP ventilator.

In one of the reports of Times Of India, it said that veteran actor is suffering from Progressive Supranuclear Palsy.

Progressive Supranuclear Palsy is a degenerative disease involving the gradual deterioration and death of specific volumes of the brain. The condition leads to symptoms including loss of balance, slowing of movement, difficulty moving the eyes, and dementia.

Apart from this, there were many celebrities who took social media rumors very seriously and started tweeting about Kader Khan’s death. Arshad Warsi was among those celebs who believed the rumors and condoled on his demise.

While the other Bollywood stars like Amitabh Bachchan wish him for speedy recovery and prayed for his healthy and long life.

Who is Kader Khan?

Kader Khan is an Afghan-born Indian-Canadian film actor, screenwriter, comedian, and director. As an actor, Khan appeared in over 300 films after his debut film in the 1973 film 'Daag', starring Rajesh Khanna, in which he acted as a prosecuting attorney.

Khan was also a prolific screenwriter, who wrote for many Bollywood films in 1970's and 1980's.

Before entering the film industry in the early 1970's, he was a Civil Engineering professor at M. H. Saboo Siddik College of Engineering, in Mumbai.
