Actor Ranveer Singh bags of ‘Maharastrian of The Year’ award

Mumbai: The Bajirao Mastani fame actor Ranveer Singh has bagged the ‘Maharshtrian of the year’ award for portraying the role of maratha warrior ‘Peshwa Bajirao II’ in Bajirao Mastani.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadanvis will confer the award to Singh.

The award is given to the personalities who have positively impacted the state.

Ranveer chosen for this award by the jury which comprised former Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde, Praful Patel, Ujjwal Nikam among others.

Amitabh Bachchan and Dilip Kumar have also been awarded in the past.
