New Delhi: During the 21-day lockdown in the country to prevent corona virus infection, people were not able to spend their time at homes. Doordarshan has also come forward to remove people's boredom. After the huge demand of people on social media, once again the famous Ramanand Sagar's Ramayana has returned to Doordarshan.

The craze of Ramayana:

Indian viewers who are home quarantined these days due to Corona virus Pandemic now had a great option to stay spiritual. Now a big news related to Ramayana's broadcast is coming that the show has broken all the TRP records after the telecast started.

The CEO of DD National said that at a time when the entire country is fighting the war against Corona, Doordarshan is being watched fiercely. He said that since Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) started rating in 2015, Ramayana has set a new record for Doordarshan.

TV channels introduce re-runs of classic shows:

At this time, the telecast of Ramayana has been started on Doordarshan at 9:00 am and again at 9:00 pm. Byomkesh Bakshi has been allotted the 11 am slot. Mahabharat airs at 12 noon and 7 pm while Circus has been given 8 pm slot.

With all the shootings at a standstill due to the coronavirus lockdown and reserve episodes of new shows depleting, television channels are reintroducing old and recent hits such as “Ramayana”, “Kasam Se”, “Kumkum Bhagya” and “Bigg Boss” to name a few.
