A tribute to the Master of Emotions, Raj Kapoor...!

Lucknow: Remember the man posing tramp-like figure, wearing black coat, ankle length black pants, black shoes and a black hat.... The man who had become the synonym of comedy legend Charlie Chaplin for Indian cine-goers.

Raj Kapoor

Raj Kapoor, one who was privileged to wear a 'Japani Joota', 'Englishtani Patloon' and 'Roosi Topi' but still flaunted his pure 'Hindustani Dil' while roaming and singing across the streets.

Call him a vagabond of 'Awara', a passionate romantic boy of 'Barsaat' or a patriot for 'Aag', Kapoor's versatility had led him to claim the title of 'the greatest showman of Indian Cinema'. The film critics called the actor the master of emotions.

While he romantically pleased Nargis with 'Pyar Hua Ikraar Hua', the actor also portrayed the agony of a betrayed person through 'Dost Dost Na Rahaa, Pyar Pyar na raha' with equal ease...

Raj Kapoor has left such an impact on the Indian film Industry that not only his generation but the new and upcoming brigade of the movie lovers has also appreciated the work of the superstar and would continue to do so.

To pay him tribute on his 92nd birth anniversary, Newstrack.com has compiled for you, the evergreen songs of the legendary actor.....
