Pak approves budget to purchase Raj Kapoor, Dilip Kumar's ancestral house

New Delhi: Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has recently approved the release of Rs 2.35 crore to buy the ancestral homes of veteran actors Dilip Kumar and Raj Kumar. The houses of these two veterans have decided to convert the archeology department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa into a museum.

House converted into National Heritage:

Explain that the house of the actors was declared as a national heritage. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mahmud Khan formally approved the proposal, which allowed the authorities concerned to Khyber a few weeks ago.

Raj Kapoor and Dilip Kumar's Pakistan House:

Peshawar Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Ali Asgar has fixed the price of the two actors' houses following a report by the Communications and Construction Department. The price of four Marlas (101 sq m) house of Dilip Kumar fixed at Rs 80.56 lakh. At the same time, Rs 1.50 crore fixed for Raj Kapoor's six marla houses (151.75 sq m).

It is worth mentioning that Raj Kapoor's ancestral house known as Kapoor Haveli, which is located in Kissa Khwani Bazaar. It was made between 1918 and 1922 by Dewan Basheshwanath Kapoor, the grandfather of the famous actor. Explain that both the houses were declared as national heritage during the Nawaz Sharif government in 2014.

However, the owners of these houses had long ago vandalized it to make it a commercial plaza. Under such circumstances, the Archaeological Department, considering its historical significance, banned all these works. At the same time, for the purchase of these buildings, the government had demanded to release Rs 2 crore. Talk about veteran stars, Raj Kapoor and Dilip Kumar have been one of the best actors of Hindi cinema. Both actors have made excellent contributions to Hindi cinema with their acting.

Shah Rukh's connection with Pak:

Significantly, Bollywood actor Shah Rukh also has a deep connection with the same neighborhood in which the ancestral home of the two is located. Tell Shah Rukh Khan's father Taj Muhammad Khan was born in Shahwali Katal. Shah Rukh Khan's father Taj Muhammad Khan was a lawyer by profession and a pro-Congress activist. Let me tell you that Shah Rukh's father settled in India with his entire family in Partition in 1947.
