Mumbai: Bollywood director Farah Khan on Saturday said that she will avoid casting any Pakistani artist and will give preference to the Indian artistes in her films.

Farah was here at an event where she favoured banning of Pakistani artists.

She, however, called it unfair to ban films like ADHM and Raees as their shooting has already been completed.

What Farah Khan said?

  • I think from now on, if you are saying we should not work with Pakistani artistes, I say we have enough talent in our country and we should work with people from our country.
  • What do we don’t have that they have? I think we are far better. So, we would work with our people. I would definitely prefer to take somebody from my country for my movies.
  • When ‘ADHM’ and ‘Raees’ were shot, it was not illegal to cast Pak artistes.
  • The movies were shot at considerable expense and hardwork, I don’t think it is fair to ban those movies.

Bollywood is divided regarding banning of Pakistani artistes. Few including Salman Khan, Mahesh Bhatt, Om Puri etc are batting for Pak artistes while Ajay Devgn, Nana Patekar and many more are against it.
