Mumbai: Kailash Kher, one of the finest Indian playback singers Bollywood has ever produced, turns 44 today. The flawless singer is known for giving a unique touch to his songs, a way that is much influenced by Indian folk and Sufi music.

Hailing from Meerut, a district in Uttar Pradesh, Kailash was born in a Kashmiri Pandit family. He moved to Mumbai in 2001 to pursue his dream of becoming a playback singer.
