Happy Birthday Tabu, one of the versatile actors of Bollywood

Mumbai: An actress best known for playing protagonists in films that garner more critical appreciation than substantial box office figures, Tabu (Tabassum Fatima Hashmi) is very well known known for giving life to all her characters.

Weather it is her first film Machis or her latest Fitoor, Tabu has proved her versatility in every character.

Born on 4 November 1971 Tabu is an Indian film actress. She has acted in Hindi films, and has also appeared in English, Telgu, Tamil, Malyalam, Marathi and Bengali language films. She has won the National Film Award for Best Actress twice, and has received six Filmfare awards, including a record four Critics Award for Best Actress.

She was awarded the Padma Shri by the Government of India in 2011.
