Manish Malhotra, Ritu Kumar & Sabyasachi under ED Scanner

Mumbai: Three well-known fashion designers of Bollywood have come on the radar of the Central Investigation Agency ED. A case related to these three fashion designers related to the transaction of lakhs of rupees in cash, evasion of tax and other charges with a politician has come to the fore and soon the investigating agency may call these three to Delhi for questioning.

ED to interrogate Mamish Malhotra:

According to sources in the investigating agency ED, soon the investigating agency ED is going to interrogate fashion designers Ritu Kumar, Sabyasachi Mukherjee and Manish Malhotra. According to the information, soon the agency can send a notice and call these three in Delhi for questioning.

Sabyasachi, Manish Malhotra and Ritu Kumar, all three are big names in the fashion industry of India and many Bollywood celebrities have been seen in their designer clothes. Apart from Bollywood, they have a well-known identity in the big corporate houses and political corridors of the country. The names of these three have come up in a case related to an MLA belonging to Punjab.

The ED has registered a case against this MLA under the Money Laundering Act (PMLA). The names of these three have come up during the investigation of this case. During the investigation, some important documents have been found by the ED, according to which this MLA had a luxurious wedding here a few years ago, in which clothes of these three were bought. But these clothes worth lakhs were paid in cash. In such a situation, all three are accused of violating the rules of income tax and tax evasion.

If sources in the investigating agency are to be believed, then the team of Income Tax Department can soon register a case of tax evasion against the MLA living in Punjab and these three fashion designers and their company.
