Ek Villain Returns: Mohit Suri announces cast with poster; To release on THIS date

After a long wait, finally the cast of Ek Villain Returns has been made official by director Mohit Suri. The sequel to Shraddha Kapoor, Sidharth Malhotra and Riteish Deshmukh 2014 film stars John Abraham, Arjun Kapoor, Disha Patani and Tara Sutaria in the lead roles. The original cast members are not a part of the sequel. However, today on the announcement of the release date, both Shraddha and OG Villain Riteish reacted to the new cast and poster.

Sharing the poster on her Instagram story, Shraddha tagged Mohit and was all hearts for the new cast and poster. Riteish shared John's tweet about the film on social media and wrote, "Go Villains!!!! Wishing my best to the entire team- मुझे यक़ीन है - इस बार भी शिकायत का मौक़ा नहीं मिलेगा। (I trust that this time I won't be given a chance to complain.)" In the 2014 film, Shraddha was seen as Aisha who plays Sidharth's love interest in the flick.

On the other hand, Riteish played the antagonist in the first part of the film. His performance as the serial killer left audiences astounded. Now, as the entire cast has been changed and the new release date was announced by Mohit, Shraddha and Riteish have wished them luck.

Meanwhile, earlier during the day, Mohit along with the cast members, Arjun, Disha, John and Tara shared the poster of the film that featured an emoji with a sinister smile. The film's sequel was announced last year and originally Aditya Roy Kapur was supposed to be a part of it too. However, Arjun joined in his place and the cast of 4 members was complete. The film is being produced by Ekta Kapoor and Bhushan Kumar. It will be released on February 11, 2022.
