Vikas Bahl to make biopic on mathematician wizard Anand Kumar

Patna: Director Vikas Bahl who made Queen, a popular movie,announced here on Monday that he would direct a biopic on Bihar's mathematician Anand Kumar of Super 30 Fame.

• The biopic on Kumar was earlier planned to be directed by Anurag Basu but the project did not take off.
• The film will be produced under the banner of Reel Life Films by Vinay Sinha and Preeti Sinha and will be scripted by Sanjeev Dutta, who had also scripted for Life in a Metro and Barfi.
• The contract was signed by Anand with the producers at his residence in Patna.
• Upcoming movie would depict the exceptional story of a young mathematical wizard who had a humble family background and went on to attain international fame.
• Anand said, “the proceeds from the film will be used for the expansion of Super 30".
• Vikas Bahl whose last Movie ' Shandaar' had failed to create the magic on box office said that he will do his best for the biopic and will inspire many.
• Bahl also said that the film would be shot extensively in Bihar to uphold the right essence of the place where he grew up. He wants Anand to play some part in the film.
• The actor to be chosen for the film will have to study Anand and mould himself in his style.

• Anand helped 333 students from underprivileged families to get admission into the coveted Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).
• The mathematician has set up his pioneering institute where he provides free coaching and accommodation to 30 students every year since 2002.
