Devoleena Bhattacharjee aka Gopi Bahu entangled in a murder case

Mumbai: T.V. actress Devoleena Bhattacharjee aka Gopi Bahu was summoned for questioning by Mumbai Police in diamond trader, Rajeshwar Udani's murder case.

The TV actress who is famous for playing Gopi Bahu in 'Saath Nibhaana Saathiya' show, has been quizzed in the murder case.

Her name came into light after her phone number was found in Udani's call details along with many other girls.

The other numbers on which he was talking frequently were of bar dancer from Navi-Mumbai and Raigarh. Though 20 people have been interrogated so far but police have not reached any conclusion yet.

The actress hasn't been given a clean chit by Mumbai Police even after hours of interrogation with her. The actress could be involved in the case as the trader was murder due to some monetary dispute and for eyeing a woman friend of Sachin Pawar, an accused in this case, according to police.

However, police remained tight-lipped over her involvement in the case but hinted that many female names might come out from the entertainment industry.

On Nov 28, a diamond merchant, Rajeshwar Kishor Udani went out from his home for some work but never returned. After which a missing an FIR was registered by his family members. During investigation police got his call details checked where Devoleena's number was among frequent callers.
