Dangal star Aamir Khan supports demonetisation

Mumbai: Just ahead of the release of his upcoming film 'Dangal', Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan on Friday welcomed the Centre's demonetisation move and appealed all to support the initiative.

Aamir said that he prefers making payments through plastic currency or cheque and hence, he is not at all affected by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi's move.

Aamir said, "I know many people having black money with them had problems and I feel sad for them but I am also happy that our Prime Minister has taken an initiative, so we should support him."

She added, "I don't have any black money... I have been paying my taxes till date. I spend money through my credit card or cheque so the decision of demonetisation didn't affect me much."

Dangal, a film based on the life of wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat who taught wrestling to his daughters Geeta Phogat and Babita Kumari, is all set for December 23 release.
